Breaking News:
The majestic mountains of the Crowsnest Pass and southern Alberta will delight skiers, hikers, and mountain bikers. A year-round facility, the Allison-Chinook area is one of southern Alberta's non-motorized trail networks. It offers exciting, varied terrain and tranquility for mountain bikers and hikers during the summer, and pristine snow with groomed and track set trails for cross-country skiers during the winter. The Crowsnest Pass Cross-Country Ski Association, Alberta Sustainable Resource Development, and the Municipality of Crowsnest Pass welcome you to the beautiful Allison-Chinook Recreation Area. Located near Chinook Lake, Allison-Chinook has trails for both novice and experienced skiers, hikers, and mountain bikers. The over 300 hectares of land in the Allison-Chinook Forest Land Use Zone provides for over 31 kilometers of set trails as well as additional backcountry trails to enjoy. In winter, Allison-Chinook attracts and makes for enjoyable outings for skiers be they cross-country, backcountry or alpine enthusiasts. Trails are groomed and track-set from December 1 to March 31 every year. During the season the trails and are always open and groomed on a weekly basis.
